The Barista Experience: Life Behind the Bar
Working behind the counter at a cafe is a very social experience. I am frequently asked what it's like to work at a cafe, make drinks, and interact with the other baristas and regular customers.

March for Women's Lives
Im home. Finally, at 4:30 pm. I turned on the news to see that people fertile women, post-mensopausal women, teenagers, little girls, men, boys, babies are still spilling into the Mall from the march. The rally is still going on.

The Meaning Behind the Message
I was talking to two friends of mine after a hard day in the park of running around frantically after our under-seven kids. Our children were finally locked in our individual cars, dirty and exhausted, and we were sitting down on the curb relaxing for a brief moment before we had to wind up again for the ride home. Kayla heard me say the S word, one of my friends informed us. I told her that I shouldnt have said it, that it was a bad word. Of course, thats when she started using it on everything. Thats okay, my other friend said. My husband was having a wonderful discussion with a bill collector... We all snickered. and he called the collector the A word. Of course, Gianni has started calling his little sister that every time they fight. She sighed. We all sighed.

The Growth Challenges of a Teenager
If only someone were to ask me how I feel and what I go through in my life! This is what I would say from my heart... If growing up was a person, it would have many faces. Some would be happy and sad and some would be pretty scary to look at. Is there an instruction manual that teens could use while growing up so that life would be a little easier?

Growing Up
Skipping along the side of the road as other adults stare: yes, I am an adult now. I am a college student now. Yet I still play in the rain. I still pretend there is an imaginary camera taping my life for all my fans to see. I still love playing dolls and spies with my cousin. And I will always prefer to ride my bike than drive, and will always pick the most colorful and shiny one regardless of the most valuable.

Career or Children -- Decide!
I admit, I gave into the propaganda that I could have it all: I could have my two point five children, an exciting career, a steamy night life and even sleep every once in a while. You know: I can bring home the bacon, fry it up in a pan;" I am woman, hear me roar," etc.

Careers or Children - Why Decide?
Have you ever thought about putting off a career to have children? Why would you, when you can do both and enjoy your life so much more?

Finding a Date...
After my breakup, I decided to forgo all men. After all, I already had a child. In other words: been there, done that. I was happy being simply single.

Teenage life: Make a Right, Not a Left!
Have you ever wondered what life would be like if you made different choices? If instead of going to that party 'everyone' was at, you stayed home and watched movies with your family like your mother wanted. If instead of drinking beer at that party...
