Alzheimer's is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States and more than 5 million people are currently living with it. In recognition of the disease November has been named the National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month. - An estimated 5.2 million Americans have Alzheimer's
- The number for people under the age of 65 is around 200,000 people

- By 2050 it is estimated that more than a million new cases will be diagnosed each year in the U.S.
- It is projected that 450,000 Americans with AD will die in 2013
