The man convicted of stalking Mel Gibson has been sentenced to three years in prison yesterday, which is the maximum punishment allowed under Californian law.
Zack Sinclair began trying to make contact with Gibson after the release of the star's controversial movie, The Passion of The Christ. Authorities say Sinclair showed up at Gibson's Malibu, California property at least four times last year, and once at the church where he worships. He was convicted of one felony stalking count on March 4.
The judge recommended Sinclair undergo psychological treatment while in prison. Gibson was not present when Sinclair was sentenced.
