A woman in Virginia is being kept alive by a series of support machines in order to increase the chance of survival for her un born baby.

The woman's husband said that this is what she would want. The pregnancy is in it's 20th week, it is believed that the earliest chance for survival in the 25th week.

Through latest technology, the child has been given a new lease on life, it is said to be a normal pregnancy and doctors hope to keep the pregnancy going until its 27th week then make a decision about delivery.
