NASA launches DART - a robotic spacecraft

NASA launched its first DART (Demonstration of Autonomous Rendezvous Technology) on Friday from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California to test the technology that would enable fully automated flights. DART weighs 363-kg and it is ment pave the way for automated spacecraft docking and cargo delivery.

The current DART mission costs around110 million dollars.
