Abstract Art

 article about Abstract Art

"In the very early 20th century, the term 'abstract art' was more often used to describe art, such as Cubist and Futurist art, that depicted real forms in a simplified or rather reduced way —keeping only an allusion of the original natural subject."

Abstract art is very appealing to me because it allows me to create paintings, collages, mask designs, and drawings based on how I view the world using a variety of techniques. There are many abstract artists whose work appeals to me. Among them are Sam Gilliam and Jackson Pollock.

For some viewers, abstract art can be difficult to interpret and sell. Despite this, the challenges that arise from creating abstract art, it still is popular and intense.
