A Brit woman, who was inspired by JK Rowling and wrote her first novel in bookshop cafes, has now become a best-selling author.

Marina Fiorato took a leaf out of Rowling's book, sitting in coffee shops while she worked on 'The Glassblower Of Murano.'

"I was inspired by JK Rowling, and how she wrote her first book in cafes," The Sun quoted Fiorato, as saying.

"I would choose coffee shops in book stores because I needed to do a lot of research," she added.

The 36-year-old was skint and used to live in a cramped flat in Swiss Cottage, North London with hubby Sacha when she started writing the book five years ago and was turned down by every publisher.

However, now she is the toast of the publishing world.

Fiorato's novel has finally been released in Britain by an independent publisher, Beautiful Books.

Simon Petherick, managing director of Beautiful Books, said: "I was impressed by her never-say-die attitude." (ANI)
