My mother controls my every moment,

Causing me unnecessary torment,

Making me trying to fathom,

Why she is trying to make my life a phantom.

All the unnecessary naggings and scoldings,

While I am trying to get my bearings.

The cost of nurture and a mother's nature,

Causes me always to fork out expenditure.

A desire to break the umbilical cord,

Without sowing that much discord.

"Mother, can't you really tell,

You are making my life hell?"

Many moments of silence,

An on-going tension of agony,

Before she finally gives me license,

To find my own life's destiny.
