Dear Craig,

I cant seem to find someone who I feel is right for me.  I get asked a lot of questions, as to why Im single and I dont even know what to say.  I flirt and would like to be with someone but I keep pulling away, causing me to sometimes settle for less.  What should I do?

Dear Caramel,

Before you can find that special someone and most importantly, before you can be ready for that special someone, you need to make sure that your mind is in the right place.  The first step to finding an answer to any problem is to identify the problem and youve already done this.  Now the hard part is to figure out how to correct this problem.  The problem right now that youve identified is settling for less.  When you settle for less youre setting yourself up for failure and quite possibly putting yourself in a situation that could turn very ugly.  This might be hard to understand, but trust me when I say, you will be better off single and waiting for that special someone, than settling for less and having to deal with the headache of a toxic relationship.  Trust your gut instincts in situations like this and make sure the next person that you involve yourself with is someone that you can truly call your special someone.  And the next time you feel like you are settling for less, look yourself in the mirror and tell yourself you deserve better.

"Love's Muse"

Dear Craig,I think that I am in love with someone that I met on the Internet.  He lives in another state and I think about him all the time.  I am so overwhelmed that I want to blurt it out....

"Love's Muse"

My boss and i used to date, we ended things on what i thought was a cordial note but... have continued "fooling" around ever since. I am tired of it now, and I want it to stop. What do you think? Can I pull this one off without changing jobs?

Sexual Opinions and Values

Too many couples fail to address important sexual issues that may be troubling them before deciding to get married. Don't include your future marriage in the failure statistics.

The value of family

In a world where most of us are caught up in our own struggle to be successful we forget to keep in touch with the people who got us where we are, the people who gave us the confidence to conquer the world. But most of all we tend to forget the people who brought us into this world.

Done After One! Choosing The One-Child Family

Many books have been written in support of the choice to have no children, but not nearly as many are positive of the only-child decision. The Done After One Club, begun in October 2003 by this writer, is adding the collective experiences and observations to the growing number of one-child parents.
