Washington, Dec 12 : Swiss actor Anatole Taubmann has signed on to star as a henchman in the next James Bond movie.
Taubmann confirmed his role on Swiss TV show 'glanz and gloria', and said that he was thrilled to be playing a part in the famous series.
"James Bond - that's like playing the Champions League. For a European actor, this is like a gold ticket. There's nothing better. I'm very happy", CommanderBond.net quoted him, as saying.
He's also looking forward to working with director Marc Forster.
"We got along very well during the casting and we have a lot in common," he said.
Though the actor is not to reveal any specific details on his role, he did admit that he's been hitting the gym and has gotten himself a personal trainer as the role is physically demanding.
Shooting for Taubmann is reported to go from January until June at various locations.
Meanwhile Mathieu Amalric has signed on to star as the villain in the movie, as yet titled 'Bond 22'. (ANI)
