Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress Sarah Michelle Gellar is set to play Alice in a modern, adult version of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland.
Gellar, 28, will be playing the lead in a story that was originally released as a video game in the US 5 years ago.
The storyline involves a mentally disturbed and grown up Alice returning down the rabbit hole after her parents where killed by a fire, only to face more dangers in Wonderland.
The film is to be directed by Marcus Nispel who also filmed the remake of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. From initial reports, don't expect a PG rating for this adaption.
