Texas sued one of the largest Internet-based phone service provider because of it's inability to clearly inform their customers that they cannot automatically dial 911.

The lawsuit is based on a case from last month, when 17-old girl was unable to call 911 during an armed robbery in which his parents were shot.

Even though the 911 service is available for users of Vonage Holdings Corp., customers need to sign up for it separetely. The fact that Vonage hasn't been clear about this fact has now brought them a lawsuit. The lawsuit seeks $20k per violation.

As a main thing, the lawsuite seeks to require Vonage to clearly inform their customers about the problems/information about 911 service.
