Ah spring, when a young man’s fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love, and a middle-aged man’s fancy severely turns to thoughts of basketball. College basketball, that is. And I’m not talking about some kiss-your-sister contest like the NIT, I’m talking about the Big Dance, the NCAA Tournament.

Sixty-four teams go in, only one comes out, it’s the finest spectacle in all of organized sports.
