The thirteen smaller parties represented in the Constituent Assembly (CA) have accused the three largest parties for failing to resume the Assembly meeting.

During a press meet here, they have accused the bigger parties of violating their right to speech and freedom of expression by forcefully stalling the Constituent Assembly process.

The small parties also demanded that the government should inform them of the reality of differences between the Madhesi parties and the CPN (Maoist), the Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML.

"We are invited to the meetings every day and sent back after two or three minutes of hooting and picketing of the rostrum by some members," said Dr Prakash Chandra Lohani, Rastriya Janashakti Party leader.

Chandra Bahadur Gurung of Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal said the thirteen parties have agreed to ask the government to present at the Constituent Assembly the agreement between the government and the Madhesi parties.

Most of them termed the disruption of the Constituent Assembly meetings by the Madhesi parties a violation of their right to discuss constitutional issues and people's concerns at the forum of people's representatives.

"We want that the constitution should not mention the name of any particular province," said Keshav Mainali of Chure Bhawar Ekata Samaj (CBES).

Biswendra Paswan of Dalit Janajati Party (DJP), however, demanded that the government should implement the letter and spirit of the agreement signed with the Madhesi parties and other agitating groups before the Constituent Assembly polls, Kantipur reported. (ANI)
