G M Shah advises the incumbent Governor Mr.N.N.Vohra to desist from taking up the chairmanship of the Shrine board and asked Government to hand over the Land to locals
G.M.Shah, President J&K Awami National Conference and former Chief Minister has demanded legal action against Governor S.K.Sinha for misuse of his position as the custodian of the constitution and disturbing communal harmony in J&K. He should seek an unconditional apology from the people for his acts that have once again torn the fragile social fabric of our state..
Mr. G.M.Shah has condemned the showering of bullets on innocent and peaceful demonstrators resulting in loss of life of Feroz Ahmad Rah in Nowhatta. He has demanded a minimum of Rs.50 lacs compensation, a job for his immediate family and dismissal of the security personnel who opened fire on unarmed Feroz Ahmed. “ Is our blood so cheap that you spill it at the slightest excuse ?” .
Terming the transfer of 800 kannals of forest land to the shrine board an ugly conspiracy of the coalition partners to destroy the religious brotherhood and unity of Kashmiri people, Mr. Shah said that some of these very people did not even spare the temples of south Kashmir and put them on fire in 1986, in order to seize power. They communalized the building of a mosque in Jammu secretariat, and have not regretted till date the ordering of killings of hundreds of our youth in 1989. These anti people measures have exposed them totally. Now whether they give up power or stay put, Is Immaterial.
Shah has demanded the control of shrine board be handed over immediately to local Pandits and Muslims. The people of the Valley will always welcome the Yatris with same love and affection as has been our tradition. He has warned the coalition government to desist from creating religious hatred, intolerance and demanded that leaders like Bal Thakery and Praveen Tagodia be reigned in. JKANC will be left with no other option, but to go in for a direct action incase the government fails in taking immediate remedial measures
