The government is set introduce new guidelines for the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected Constituent Assembly (CA) members.

A cabinet meeting held this afternoon at Singha Durbar promulgated the oath of office to be administered to the CA members.

The earlier cabinet meeting held on May 4 had decided to prepare the draft of guidelines on the agreement of the seven parties.

The newly elected CA members are scheduled to take the oath of office on May 27, one day before the first CA meeting.

Today's meeting chiefly discussed the preparations for the CA meeting and other regular agendas, the Kantipur quoted Minister Hisila Yami, as saying. (ANI)
