A An Australian woman saved her pet kitten by punching a python who was crushing it in its jaws.
 Ruth Butterworth, 58, from Brisbane, suffered two snake bites and broke her wrist while attempting to rescue her pet Tuffy. She said: "I just started punching the thick part where it was about the size of my arm. I just kept punching until it let go."
