A A US woman was forced to drink her own urine after police left her in a cell for four days and forgot about her.
  Adriana Torres-Flores, 38, was locked in a room without a toilet or bed in Washington on a Thursday, and was left until the following Monday. After pounding on the steel door with her hands and feet, Torres-Flores was forced to drink her own urine and sleep with her head on a shoe to survive. Jarrod Hankins was only two months into his job as bailiff, and is said to be "broken" by the incident. Police have promised to investigate the incident to ensure it does not happen again.
