Chinese shop owners are having to get change from beggars - because they are so short of coins.
Stores in Kunming city say banks don't provide them with enough coins to maintain their businesses.
Ms Chen of Yinwang stationery says many retailers have had to resort to asking beggars to change money.
She said: "Each month, a single shop needs around 2,000 yuan in coins, but the banks always say they don't have coins. "The beggars are not doing this for free. Usually they charge 105 yuan for 100 yuan coins." The city's Wal-Mart store is giving small presents to people who give them 20 yuan coins in change.
