Airbus and Boeing have both enjoyed subsidies from different sources. US is not happy about the subsidies being paid to Airbus. However, it turns out that Boeing isn't any different. It might be that Boeing has received support even in greater amounts.
Reality is that both companies have been receiving substantial financial support from governments. However, no-one is really too happy about it. Washington and Brussels have both filed lawsuits against each other. On Friday, the representatives on the US side said that if EU continues to support Airbus, it would resume its case against EU. EU says that if this has to be so in case of Airbus, also Boeing should be kept support-free from now on.
