Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Murli Manohar Joshi fears that the current political crisis in the country could lead to an early election in the country.

Addressing a news conference on Wednesday, Joshi said that the current crisis would lead to instability.
"We find that there are seen some differences even in the Samajwadi Party. So we have to see whether their party remains intact or not. It will be very interesting to see that while the coalition has broken down, even the coalition parties will break down. It will create instability again in the centre. Not only will it seal the deal, but it will also throw the Central Government into a unstable situation where election would become imminent," said Joshi.

Meanwhile, the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA), is busy gathering support from all possible quarters after the Left withdrew support.

"After the Left parties formally withdrew support from the UPA, we got a call from Sharad Pawar asking Telangana Rashtriya Samiti (TRS) to support the UPA," said R. Chandrashekhar Rao, leader of TRS.

The government, led by the Congress party, believes it has enough votes after securing the backing of the SP. (ANI)
