Pakistan Law Minister Farooq Naik has said that PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari will decide whether an impeachment motion against President Pervez Musharraf should be brought in the country's Parliament or not.

"Under the Constitution, it's only the Parliament's prerogative to impeach the country's president, and the decision on Pervez Musharraf's impeachment will be made by PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari," the Daily Times quoted Naik as saying during a public hearing at the PPP Secretariat.

Naik said that the constitutional package proposed by the PPP was not an ultimate document, and could be changed in view of the alliance parties' suggestions.

He said the PPP had invited political parties and law experts to offer suggestions to make the draft package acceptable to all the concerned.

He also said that Zardari and the central executive committee would mull over the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) charge sheet against President Musharraf. (ANI)
