In a way all eyes are on Harappanahalli where mining lord and BJP MP from Bellary Karunakara Reddy is contesting against the soft-spoken Lingayat leader and Karnataka's former deputy chief minister M P Prakash of the Congress.

For Prakash, this is a new constituency as he has just joined the Congress from the Janata Dal (Secular).

Delimitation has changed the political calculations of big leaders.

This constituency located on the backwaters of Tunga-Bhadra is anticipating a political decisive battle.

"Harappanahalli is crucial for the Congress, whereas for the BJP, It is a prestige issue to win in the Congress bastion, which is also a reserved constituency," said Reddy.

With over 15,1000 votes up for grades, the Lambanis and the Lingayts will decide the fate of these two bigwigs.

According to senior journalist and political analyst, Sheshachandrika, the battle is crucial and the party that wins will have a say in government formation.

"Harappanahalli is crucial for the BJP and mining lord Reddy," said Sheshachandrika. (ANI)

Recollections of a Communicator, Did God ask Sam Manekshaw his rank in Warrant of Precedence?(Articl

It was mentioned that while the Chiefs of Staff of Army, the Navy and the Air Force have a warrant of precedence, a Field Marshal does not have one other than that he had when he was in service.
