Last evening, as many as seven serial bomb blasts rocked the Pink City within 12 minutes, which left the state's government and security in a state of shock. Among the places targeted by unknown terrorists were temples and famous food joints, claiming lives of innocent people, mostly women. This was the first of kind attack in the Pink City, one of the famous tourist spots in the country.

Preliminary reports suggest the hand of banned fundamental organization HUJI's hand behind the blasts, though no arrests have been made in this regard so far.

The state government has declared a bandh as a mark of protest against the serial blasts. All government offices, schools and colleges will remain closed today, said a state government advisory. (ANI)
