Former England soccer captain David Beckham has no thoughts about hanging up his golden boots.

Beckham, in Sydney to play for his club team LA Galaxy in an exhibition Tuesday night, is still eager to help England qualify for the next World Cup and to notch up his 100th international appearance.

"I want to go on with it and I believe that I can,'' Fox Sports quoted Beckham, as saying.

"I believe that I've got the experience and the passion still to play for my country. I hope when the next manager comes in he will give me that chance, but we'll have to wait and see."

Beckham set up one of England's goals in last week's European championship qualifier against Croatia, but it wasn't enough to save England's skin, or that of manager Steve McClaren, who was promptly sacked.

England, needing only a draw to qualify, went down 3-2.

Beckham, however, considers his England days far from over and his international thoughts have turned to the looming qualifiers for the 2010 World Cup.

"Things change so quickly on the international scene. Eight months ago if somebody said to me I would get another cap and play for England again I probably wouldn't have believed them. But I was brought back and now I've got 99 caps and I want to go on with it," said Beckham. (ANI)
