Arctic Monkeys are set to sweep the board at this year's Shockwave NME Awards with a record seven nominations.

The indie rockers are up for Best British Band, Best Live Band, Best Album and Album Artwork for 'Favourite Worst Nightmare', Best Track for 'Fluorescent Adolescent' and Best Video for 'Teddy Picker'.

Frontman Alex Turner will also be hoping to scoop the Best Dressed accolade at the annual awards ceremony at London's indigO2 on February 28.

The Klaxons have been named in four categories and will contest Best British Band, Best Album for 'Myths Of The Near Future', Best Video for 'Golden Skans' and Best Dancefloor Filler for their hit 'Atlantis To Interzone'.

Babyshambles, Muse and The Cribs will also compete for Best British Band.

Babyshambles are also in the running for Best Album for 'Shotters Nation' along with The Enemy for 'We'll Live And Die In These Towns' and Radiohead for 'In Rainbows'.

The coveted Best International Band award sees Arcade Fire, Foo Fighters, The Killers, Kings Of Leon and My Chemical Romance battle it out.

Elsewhere, troubled singer Amy Winehouse has picked up four nominations including Best Solo Artist where she will do battle with Kate Nash, Jamie T, Jack Penate and Patrick Wolf.

Winehouse - who entered rehab last week - is also up for Best Music DVD and the dubious titles of Worst Dressed and Villain Of The Year.

The shortlist was picked by readers of the British music magazine and fans can now vote for their favourites at www.nme.com/awardsnominees
