Actor Will Smith has confirmed that his son Jaden will be the next 'Karate Kid.'

The confirmation has come two months after the 'Bad Boys' star's publicists denied speculations that his son will revive the 'Karate Kid' franchise.

The 'Pursuit Of Happyness' star is in negotiations with film executives about the role.

"I met with a couple of people in China. We're looking to potentially shoot in China," Contactmusic quoted Smith, as saying.

The original Karate Kid films, starring Ralph MACchio and Pat Morita, became cult family viewing in the mid-to-late 1980s. (ANI)
