Although William's girlfriend, Kate Middleton ,will witness Peter Phillips marrying Autumn Kelly, the prince will be in Kenya for Batain Craig's wedding.

Batain is the brother of William's ex-girlfriend, Jecca, who the young royal met during his gap year when he was 18.

Royal sources denied the prince was snubbing his family, but admitted his decision had caused "more than a few raised eyebrows".

The source added to Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Choosing the family of his ex-girlfriend ahead of everyone else makes it even more bizarre.

"Wills is very close to the Craigs, but this will inevitably question his priorities."

Kate - who is believed to be friends with Jecca - will join the rest of the royal family at Peter's wedding at Windsor Castle.

Sources say her presence without William proves how highly she is regarded by his family.
