Troubled singer Amy Winehouse has been offered help by English dance music duo the Pet Shop Boys to complete her Bond theme tune.

The theme for the 007 movie 'Quantum Of Solace', a recording which was supposed to happen between Mark Ronson and Winehouse, was scrapped after he felt that her usage of drugs was going to leave her in no fit state to make music.

With Ronson out of the picture, Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe want to lend a hand to the 'Rehab' singer and even join forces with her.
The two, who have been creating their own song for the film, which is due in cinemas this October, and were hoping to be signed on ahead of their favourite singer.

"She's got a few things to sort out first but we like her very much," The Sun quoted Neil as saying.

Pet Shop Boys are not afraid of teaming up with the 'Back to Black' singer as they have worked with others before, Girls Aloud, Sugababes, Saint Etienne, New Order and Franz Ferdinand to name a few.

"Technically she's a great singer and we've got one or two tracks that would really suit her," Neil added.

Where the Bond movie chiefs are concerned, they would like Amy to do their assignment.

But they are also not losing sight of the fact that if her track is not up to the mark or if she is a threat to their work in any way, they will, without a second thought, take on one of the rival acts. (ANI)
