The 29-year-old singer was released from prison last week after serving 29 days of a 14-week sentence for violating his probation.
"I was banging it. The only time I tested clean was when I used someone else's piss," Contactmusic quoted Doherty as telling NME magazine.
The 'Babyshambles' rocker also insisted that he did not take drugs while serving his jail term.
"There are ways of getting gear (drugs) in, but how do you get a syringe in? I was in segregation for the last three weeks. I was in debt to big-time drug dealers," he said
"All I'll say to that is: 'Chance would be a fine thing'," he added. (ANI)
