Orlando Bloom was also slimed when he and host Jack Black took their seats for the show's record-breaking climatic finale.
Bloom joked: "It's the whole reason I became an actor - to take part in the longest and biggest celebrity sliming in Kids' Choice history."
The big winner on the night was 'Hannah Montana' star Miley Cyrus, who won Favourite Female Singer and Favourite TV Actress, and also performed her song 'Girls Night Out'.
Cameron Diaz took home the Wannabe Award for being a good role model, and used her acceptance speech to promote environmental issues.
After collecting her gong from Ashton Kutcher, she said: "Oh wow! And when I say wow, I mean, wow! This is the biggest honour in my entire life. You're going to change the world. Every one of you kids is the future - go out and make the world a better place."
Pregnant Jessica Alba, dressed in a green gown, was delighted to be named Favourite Movie Actress, while Johnny Depp won Favourite Movie Actor.
Chris Brown won Favourite Male Singer, Ryan Seacrest collected the Favourite Reality TV Show award for 'American Idol' and the Jonas Brothers were named Favourite Music Group.
The winners were voted for by Nickelodeon fans on the TV network's website. More than 88 million votes were cast.
