The veteran actor was filming the hit Indian Jones movie 'Temple of Doom' in Sri anka when he injured himself on an elephant.
He returned to continue shooting in the UK with a chronic bad back.
Ford revealed to Empire magazine that try as he would, finding a physician to treat his bad back turned out to be a real problem.
That's when he turned to the Manchester United doctor.
"I couldn't find anyone to treat me in London, Harley Street doctors were afraid of the liability issues. I finally got the Manchester United team doctor to treat me," The Sun quoted him, as saying.
He then had pay the doc a visit every week for an epidural.
