Angelina Jolie has written an emotional letter to US, asking to step up their efforts to help the innocent victims in Iraq, who are now away from their homes.

The delectable 32-years-old star, is a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner For Refugees (UNHCR), so she claims America has an ethical duty to assist Iraq war refugees.

Her letter was published on The Washington Post newspaper, titled 'A Reason to Stay in Iraq'.

In summary, this is what she has written: “More than 2 millions of innocent are without homes, medicines, food and clean water. What we cannot afford is to squander the progress that has been made. In fact, we should step up our financial and material assistance.”

Then she highlighted that the fifty-eight per cent of the Iraq's displaced people are younger than 12 years old.

The actress, who visited Baghdad this month, also underlined that the UNHCR has asked the US government for $261 million this year to tackle the problem, and that the sum is less than the US spends each day to fight the war in Iraq.
