Lindsay Lohan's legal battle with a van driver over a 2005 car crash has been settled.

The terms of the settlement were not disclosed but Raymundo Ortega, who claimed that the actress was negligent when her car collided with his van, had originally asked for 200,000 dollars in damages.

"This entire case has been settled," People quoted Ortega, as stating in court documents.

Ortega filed a suit against the actress, claiming Lohan had been drinking at West Los Angeles restaurant The Ivy before she collided with him, even though she was underage at the time.

However, Lohan dismissed his claim, saying in court papers: "I did not consume an alcoholic beverage or any type of medication or drug."

In fact, the actress fired back with her own countersuit, noting that a California Highway Patrol report blamed Ortega for the crash on the grounds that he made an illegal U-turn.

Just prior to the settlement, Lindsay faced the possibility of giving a videotaped deposition--to which her lawyers strongly opposed on the grounds the video could be released in the media. (ANI)
