The reason behind David and Victoria Beckham's similar wrist tattoos has been revealed - the designs mark the date the couple renewed their wedding vows.

Both Posh and Becks have the tattoos on their wrists spelling out in Roman numerals May 8, 2006, the day of the ceremony at their home in Sawbridgeworth, Herts, reports The Sun.

The former England captain recently got a Valentine's Day gift for Victoria - another tattoo on his arm.

The football star etched another tattoo into his arm as a tribute to his wife.

The tattoo, in the form of a black rose, is placed alongside one that was inspired by Beckham's favourite show, Sky One's Prison Break, starring Wentworth Miller. (ANI)
