The 'Hung Up' singer, who married Guy in 2000, is planning a star-studded summer ceremony to reaffirm her commitment to the film director. The couple will also exchange eternity rings.

A source said: "Renewing their vows is the one way Guy and Madonna can show the world they are strong. They have worked hard to iron out their differences to get through the tough times. It is going to be very emotional day and that is why they want the people who are closest to them to share it with them."

Fashion designer Stella McCartney is set to create a cream trouser suit for close friend Madonna to wear during the private ceremony at the couple's Wiltshire home.

'Shakespeare in Love' actress Gwyneth Paltrow is believed to have been asked to perform a reading during the service.

Madonna's 11-year-old daughter Lourdes, from her relationship with her personal trainer Carlos Leon, will also read.

Madonna, who also has a seven-year-old son Rocco and a two-year-old adopted son David with Guy, is also planning a huge celebration for her 50th birthday later this year.
