The survey, conducted by global marketing research group Synovate, asked more than 9,000 people in 13 countries what they thought about fast food, dieting and obesity.
The results showed that the Brits were the most fast food obsessed, with 45 per cent saying that they liked the taste of it too much.
Americans and Canadians closely followed them, while nearly a third of Australians found fast food irresistible, reports Taste.com.au.
However, nearly two thirds of Australians said that they didn't think fast food tastes to be so good that they couldn't give it up.
The French were the least likely to go the burger and chips option, followed by Singaporeans and Romanians.
In terms of attitudes towards managing weight, Australians said that the main cause of obesity was unhealthy food choices, while 20 per cent of US said that it was the result of a lack of exercise.
Less than 5 per cent blamed the media and fast food advertising for the obesity epidemic. (ANI)
