Many Singaporeans have resorted to eating leftovers. Once the diner leaves his place at the table, there are Singaporeans lumbering over to eat the leftovers.
Although the phenomenon is not new, there appears to be a sharp increase in direct relation with the sharp rice in food prices in Singapore as of early 2008.Crystal Tein, The Cheers News
