Bureaucracies are nothing but debating societies, which are bound to fail. We've seen how they failed America on 9-11, and have seen the CIA and FBI both fail in preventing those terrorist attacks. We have also seen how the UN failed to prevent 800,000 deaths in Rwanda. Now we are seeing Bureaucracy fail again, this time it's failing Sudan -- a country where a possiable 350,000 civillians will die if nothing is done according to a press release from the Green Party's website.

What will happen? Will this Evil Bureaucracy let these people die? Or will they send in forces, or will the world as well send in forces to stop the killings and ethnic cleansing that is going on?

We've all heard of the "Axis of Evil. In my opinion, George W. Bush was right to use those three words to describe Iran and North Korea, and other countries that continue to threaten America. But there is another "Evil" out there; it is, of course, the hidden evil of "Democracy" which in my opinion can bring down a Republic. The word or institution is, "Bureaucracy." One major example of a Bureaucracy is the United Nations. While surfing the net, I came across the Green Parties website. What I saw there was a press release on Sudan --of course some of you are probably asking yourselves, "What's this have to do with Bureaucracy?"

Well, it has every thing to do with Bureaucracy.Why, you may ask? For one, the organization that's supposed to "combat" and "prevent" genocide isn't doing it's job. The organization is the United Nations. While reading there is only one topic on the green platform that I agreed with -- this young Republican agreed that something needs to be done about the situation in Dafur, Sudan. Although, the green party seems to support sending in a "multinational" force to prevent the genocide, I can not fathom why they and liberals alike, did not want troops sent to Iraq. Iraq after all, it is a Humanitarian crisis is it not?

It seems the United Nations is sitting idly, by again --while innocent civilians are being murdered. Kofi's UN and the rest of the all knowing Bureaucracy seem to ignore the slaughter in Dafur while at the same time pass a resolution "condemning" Israel's wall. Of course the wall is meant to curb terrorist attacks by the Palistians terrorists, thus protecting Israeli citizens. But while the UN is concerned with "The Wall," fighting goes on in Dafur. While fighting continues, more policy on the environment or what Israel is doing wrong goes forward, or is debated.

While the un-elected body votes to condemn --more people die in Sudan, and Rwanda happens all over again. I thought we were supposed to "learn" from "mistakes" of our past? Kofi obviously hasn't;  even the French havent. When the U.S. decides it will implement "sanctions" all the French can do is say no. But that shouldn't surprise us if that came to a veto by the French or an out right "no" by Kofi. Since they both opposed the Second Iraq War --and Kofi himself, let 800,000 Rwandan Tutsi civilians die at the hands of the Hutu.

It seems I agree with the "Greens" on Sudan, and find a small portion of their press release I agree with; something must be done to prevent the genocide. The press release by the International Party says --"350,000" civilians in Sudan could die. I'll agree with that, although it's less then the 800,000 it's still a massive amount of lives that could be lost.

We've seen how the UN; French or Liberals run, while any hint of WAR comes to the list unless of course it's Haiti, since the UN, French and other liberals think of it as a Humanitarian Crisis. It seems to me that the UN Bureaucracy and it's other supporters pick and choose what is a "crisis," or what requires force to calm a violent situation.

We, the United States have seen the short falls of Bureaucracy or it's organizations, and what has happened when the Bureaucrats in them fail to act. We saw that on September 11th, 2001, when organizations like the CIA and FBI failed to share Intel, and cooperate. Perhaps if they were organized better and bickered less, 9-11 would not have happened. Perhaps if the Security Screens would have paid more attention they would not have let the "Hijackers" through the gates, which ultimately led to the Twin Towers falling; and one plane flying into the Pentagon in D.C.

While the commission has released their report on 9-11 will this really help prevent another? No, I don't think so. Especially, when the commission says, "Another 9-11 is likely to happen.

While the commission is coming out with what the American Government can do to prevent another, the Green Party has steps on what should be done to prevent genocide in Sudan --and again, the UN sits by and worries about the wall.

Greens recommended several measures that the U.N. can undertake immediately:

The U.N. Security Council must levy effective sanctions against Sudanese leaders to compel them to disarm the militias that are behind the massacres.

The U.N. must establish a multinational force, under the leadership of African nations, to ensure access to the humanitarian relief that the Sudanese government has blocked in Dafur and to continue to monitor the conflict and the current cease-fire. African Union forces are already present and ready to mobilize, but need global support. The U.S. can assist the African Union's efforts by relieving the massive external debt that is choking many African nations.

While I find myself agreeing with them, however, I don't think this should be left up to the United Nation and Kofi. The Bureaucrats there have proven time and time again they're a failure --we've seen that in 1994 with Rwanda ; we've also seen how the United Nations handled the Oil for Food money --which is another reason why Bureaucracy is evil. The organization is again doing more harm then it is good --Im sure Mrs. Roosevelt is turning over in her grave right now.

Another point that the greens made --which is the only one I disagreed with -- is, The U.S. can assist the African Union's efforts by their external debt. I really don't think this would hinder them sending forces in to curb the violence in Sudan; especially, if they are ready to mobilize. Therefore, this does not mean the United States can not send a small military force there to help out -- this also does not mean the United Nations cannot help fund a peace keeping force. I'm sure there isn't a better way to spend the millions of dollars worth of dues that are paid to the U.N. each year.

Bureaucracies are a debating society -- and in essence the very example of "Democracy" which is voting by the masses. Majority rules while tyranny spreads and dictatorships arise. While the U.N. votes on "The Wall," because the Israeli's are somehow persecuting the very people who blow them selves up on a bus; or in a dance hall is absurd. What they are saying is, "Don't defend yourself, even though there are terrorist trying to kill you." But before I have all you people screaming that I have not taken the Palestinians situation into view, I have. While I agree they do deserve a state, and Israel should not be arbitrarily building new settlements in Gaza or the West Bank; until the Palistinians can prove and stop the terrorism that is going on, I'm not going to have any sympathy for them. Also the Jews have about 8,000 years of history to back up their claim to Israel.

If the UN is only good as a "Debating Society" we should withdraw from it, and force them to move to Geneva. I'm sure the UN's interests can be better served in Europe than here on U.S. soil. It's time we cut the funding to them, therefore, giving the United States more money to do with whatever it chooses; perhaps more money for the War on Terrorism or Education which would help our troops, and quite passably, better educate the future leaders of America. After all it is the children who will determine where the world's future lies.

Who knows, maybe even the children will have a better idea on how to prevent genocide or even war. Perhaps if all the countries in the world were not tired up in that tall blue glass building, they would not be so blind to what is happening in Sudan. Even while Kofi mentions that something must be done, it's still all talk. And until this Bureaucracy stops its talk, and starts acting that's all it will be; a debating society which never acts on a "serious" issue thus letting people die, and becoming just another Bureaucracy of Evil on the Axis.
