By Lou ,

I
always have some different opinions about American election campaign and about the attitudes of the candidates when they are debating. So I wrote an article and hope to be posted here to let the readers share it.

I talked about the wrong attitude of the American people, the voters.  Now I want to point out the wrong attitude of the candidates, the would-be presidents.  By reason, they should lay before the voters what they will do when they become the president. They should mention one by one their methods to solve the problems the U. S. government is facing, both international and domestic, both political and financial. They can debate whose methods are better so that the voters can consider whom they will finally decide to vote for.

But now the candidates are attacking one another, sometimes even personally. It is not like debating, but like bickering. That is always a bad tradition in the election campaign. That is not what the voters should see or like to see. They should show us, the voters, the civilized, educated side of their character, not their emotional, agitated side. They should not just give us the empty talk, but the practical ways how to turn America from the present bad situation for the better.

As for the Democratic Party, in my opinion, the two current candidates should unite to represent their party, like one can be the president and the other can be the vice president so that American people can see the hope of a bright future before them under a party as a strong union, not as separate groups. In my way of thinking, in the order of seniority, Ms. Hillary Clinton should be the president as she has more experience in the administration, with Mr. Obama as the vice president so that he can learn to be the president in the later elections as he is still young.

Hillary Clinton is a smart cookie....I think we should give her that....but is she fit to be the next President of US....I dont think so...I agree with the above comment that says she voted for troops in Iraq and anyone who has been following the plight of these troops and the pain that their families have endured will agree with that. But over and above that....does the US need another politician to replace Bush? I think the next candidate to be the president should be one who can bridge the gap not only between the various issues that have plagued the States for so many years but also one who the world can identify with. Barack Obama being an African-American candidate who has lived outside of the US for several years fits this bill perfectly as in my opinion the world is less likely to perceive such a man as a threat like they do the current administration.
I think its time for the US to show the world that they can make the smart choie in Barack Obama and embrace change and secularism.

Dear Hillary Rodham Clinton,

Hi Hillary, don't force me. I don't take kindly to force. I am very certain, all Americans and people all over the world would be very interested in what you and particularly what your husband,Bill Clinton did and are now doing.

In the first place, I do not think Hilary Clinton should ever be president as she voted for the Iraq war. She also kept quiet on the destruction of America's jobs during Bill Clinton's presidency. She did not admit all this in her campaign and did not apologize and even call her on the side of the workers. In addition, she has spent most of her campaign time drubbing Obama instead of listing out the plans to overcome America's problems; leading one to wonder whether she has any solution or policy in mind at all.

In conclusion, if I were an American voter, I would vote for Obama as the Democrat nominee.
