I give this article 10 cheers for several reasons:
First, because it very interestingly covers the phenomenenon of parents and their mysterious pronouncements
Secondl because the article follows up on it's promise of providing a logic for the "25.00 monkey" expression.
Third, because the picture of the monkey in the tree is a capuchin, which is the right species for an organ grinder monkey.
Fourth, I find it interesting because a similar thing happened to me - when I was 14, me and my pet monkey were invited to be in a production of "Gone With The Wind" and travel to Russia. Unfortunately, the deal fell through.
Finally, I just think Andy Martello has a funny writing style, so all in all I givethe article ten cheers.
