I sincerely doubt we could tap this sleeping volcano and use it as an energy source. Typical use of geothermal plants is converting water to steam and then using the steam to run turbines and generators. To do this, pipes need to be run underground so that the water (or whatever liquid is being used) can gather heat and change phases.
To tap the energy we would have to excavate a large area to place the network of water pipes far enough underground to make the operation worthwhile, which would decrease the amount of pressure being exerted on the magma to keep it in the ground.
Also, the sheer amount of heat that would need to be removed from the area to stop the rising magma is far too large to be used before this supervolcano will explode... I mean think about it: I don't quite think we can use the heat faster than earth's core can transfer it outwards.
