What has kept the Roman Church together is money, and collusion with Fascists. Well that, and the burning and torture of anyone who dared disagree. American Catholics are hypocrites who follow those church doctrines that are convenient to their lifestyles, but those in the third world have no such luxury. But after all, one can always go to confession and say a few Hail Mary’s, not to mention a few bucks in the Church collection box and the priest will look away.

Do you really think that "Catholic" should mean allowing anything? Universal means that it is the One True Church. Up until the reformation no one denied whether or not there was One True Church, the only debate was which one it is? With over 56,000 protestant denominations and one Roman Catholic Church, as well as a handful of Orthodox Christian Churches, you have to ask yourself what has kept the Roman Catholic Church unified? Is it really a silly little man in prada shoes hidden behind a Vatican wall? Or is it the Vicar of Christ sitting upon the chair of Peter - brought to us in an unbroken Apostolic succession from the time of Christ?
