Unfortunately, the problem is not that the politicians are mud slinging so early this election season. The problem is that we, as Americans only pay attention to those kinds of ads and comments. The politicians believe that this is the way to win elections because of the interest we show. Stop giving this type of behavior credence and they will stop.
