London, July 18 : A bridal shop owner was forced to hire bodyguards to protect herself from 60 angry brides after her business went bust.

Lisa Clarkson received death threats and went into hiding, after she closed her business with almost 400,000 pounds debts.

"Everyone was screaming and shouting. Mrs Clarkson was scared," the Mirror quoted Official liquidator Nick Peat as saying.

"I've never experienced uproar like this. Don't mess with brides is all I can say," he added.

"The meeting was tense. The owner had a huge bouncer so we couldn't be too aggressive." said one, Stephanie Haire

Mrs Clarkson said: "I'm so sorry for the brides." (ANI)
