Japanese gaming firm Nintendo, manufacturers of Wii gaming console is set to launch a Wii music game along with a new motion sensor controller.

This new controller tracks the position and orientation of a player's arm more precisely, and will make the games more sensitive to player movement.

The company exhibited their new music game Wii Music at the E3 video game industry trade show in Los Angeles yesterday.

With the new motion controller, players would be able to simulate more than 60 instruments.

Legendary game designer Shigeru Miyamoto demonstrated the music game by playing a virtual saxophone.

Nintendo said the motion controller would come along with a new title called Wii Sports Resort, which includes Frisbee throwing and sword-fighting games that show off the controller's abilities.

"A true paradigm shift has taken place in the global games market," New Scientist quoted Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata, as saying.
