More liberal "honesty"

Restore Honesty --What?

Recently I wrote a column on Joe Wilson's website (restorehonesty.com). I wrote about his dishonesty --which you could even call left-wing propaganda. I wrote about Wilson's lies that the Bush Administration is "misleading" America on claims that Iraq sought Uranium from Niger, which the President had talked about in his State of the Union speech before the second Iraqi war. But I am not going to write about Joe Wilson this time --his website just seems to ring in my ear "series."

As we all have heard by now, Sandy Berger - former National Security Advisor to ex-president Clinton - stole classified documents on terrorism from the National Archives. It was reported by Fox News that Berger was seen stuffing documents into his pants and socks. This makes me wonder - I'm sure others are wondering as well - why would someone with his security clearance steal classified documents?

That question has yet to be answered. Of course, liberals are screaming at this, saying, "The Bush Administration leaked this," thinking it's been done to sabotage the former national party's convention. Of course, it's a criminal investigation and should be dealt with, with severe consequences. Therefore, this is another example of liberal treachery.

Since Berger's investigation, he has resigned as Kerry's informal advisor --I'm wondering what information he might have given Kerry . . .

This incident or crime is just another example of the left-wing's corruption. Berger stated, "It was an honest mistake." Yeah right, I'd consider it an honest mistake if it were the average citizen, but please, youre a former National Security Advisor! And you're telling me it's an "honest" mistake. I'd hope you think the American people are smarter than that - and I'd hope the "media" is smarter than that. But then again, as irrational as the left is, it wouldnt surprise me that they'd just come up with another "conspiracy-theory," saying, "The vast right-wing is at it again - they want to sabotage the democratic convention."

Indeed, they still believe Bush is a liar and Joe Wilson is a honest non-partisan who broke the "news" that the Bush Administration lied on Iraqi pre-war intelligence . . .

Come on, any rational person can come up with the same conclusion. "Berger stole 'CLASSIFIED' documents," which could quite possibly put our national security at risk.

Thanks. Perhaps Berger should have shown those documents to Al-Quaida - at least we'd know why our "intelligence and national security" has been weakened - and this, all because of partisan politics. You'd think the war would transcend all of partisan bickering --but not in a liberal mind. When it pertains to the left's thinking, it's all about, "No blood for oil, Stupid!" or, "Bush lied, he stole the election." Of course, we know that every recount said Dubya won; the democrats just wanted a fluke of a count saying Gore won -that way they could "hijack" the White House for another eight years.

House Majority leader Tom Delay (R-Texas) was reported by Fox News as saying "It could be a National Security Crisis." He's absolutely one-hundred percent correct. As I've already asked, what if that information did fall into the wrong hands? It seems as the years go on, the left's lack of respect for our national security deepens. Clinton neglected to capture Osama when he had the chance, he also neglected to oust Saddam when he had the chance.

Of course, it took a republican president to put our national security back on track. How many times does a building, embassy, or ship need to be blown up before the left realizes these people want to kill them too?

If Berger is found in this investigation to have stolen these documents, he should spend the rest of his life behind bars - or better yet, he should get the Chair. It's time we start sending a message to the John Walkers out there, and others who would put our security at risk, either by fighting for the Taliban or stealing classified material which could inadvertently put our country at risk. Especially if it's an election year. And with the election being only four months away, it should also be looked into whether or not any of this information may have leaked out to unknown parties. It should also be looked into whether or not he's given Kerry classified information.

Just because youre a senator running for president doesn't mean you have some God-given right to have access to classified information for your own devious purposes. However, don't expect the Kerry campaign to acknowledge this . . . Why should they, if it helps put them in the White House, why not indulge in a little classified info?

Whatever the reason, Kerry is now pointing fingers. Fox News reported that Kerry sent a memo to the White House, stating,"the timing was politically motivated and coordinated by the White House." Even if the White House did leak information about the Berger investigation, it should not matter.

Sandy Berger broke federal law. I realize that this may be hard for liberals to understand but it's true. By taking classified documents and walking out of the archives with them, he broke the law. Enough said. If you still think he's innocent, than why has it also been reported by every cable news station that he was seen stuffing the documents in to his pants and socks? I don't think Sandy would stuff classified material into his pants because he has some fetish that gives him pleasure.

Indeed we should expect this from the once national and respected party -after all, they did choose an "ass" has their symbol - which makes one wonder, why? The word "ass," already means "stupid." And this was an ass-of-a-thing-to-do. But I'm sure Kerry will provide Berger with all the legal help he can muster, since he's already formed a legal team so that Florida isn't repeated. But we must remember the Donkey Party could not even steal the election then . . .

In my opinion, an Attorney General as good as John Ashcroft, as much as I sometimes disagree with his policies, will fry Berger if he is found by the FBI to have broken the Law. But if he is, I'm sure the liberals will be there to protest and scream, "Conspiracy!" even if the evidence suggests otherwise. So, perhaps we should just call the Whaa-bulance just in case. And my message to Berger: I'm not falling for it, and Bill O'Reilly isnt falling for it. It seems your only ally on Fox is Alan Colmes; your only media allies are CNN, CBS, NBC, and ABC - by the way, tell Martha hello for me. Then again, I highly doubt Berger will go to a minium security prison.

For starters, what's spelled wrong, yeti? Next, Brian, doesn't your site say you're a teenager? I just had to go and check it out, man. Get over the moral ranting and absolutism that you in fact know it all. It's a big world, my friend, and your way is not the only way.

I may not agree with Eric, and I may find him "whiny" too at times, but this is an opinion column. That's what EVERY column is because every person has biases no matter who they are or what they tell you. I have been reading this site for awhile now because my best friend used to write for it and it is FANTASTIC. For someone to deride another writer and deny them their opinon smacks RIDICULOUSNESS when you yourself wrote something about free speech last week.

Next, I believe Eric said this above, "If Berger is found in this investigation to have stolen..."

Yeti, despite Martello's terrific google article this week, i do not advise that you live your life by what you get off that search engine, fantastic though it may be.

You don't know it all, my young friend. Neither do I. Neither does Mr. Webb. The difference is, I don't deny him his right to articulate it.

Sorry if you don't agree with the writing style, but I haven't seen "Brian Hokanson" or "The Yeti" up in lights at B&N, last I checked.

Thanks! Everybody, keep up the good work. Smiles, y'all

Okay, this article is even lower than Mr. Webb's last one. For starters, he can't spell and my 6th-grade nephew could make better jokes. However, that's not the point here. Do a simple google search people, and you will find that Mr. Berger had been cleared of wrongdoing. Unfortunately, Mr. Webb either is not capable of or has no basis on which to debate a real issue related to the 2004 Presidential campaign.

I would demand that the fine people running this site take this article down, but I think it is better if it is left up. In reality, Mr. Webb has made an "ass" out of himself, and even a crazy liberal in a "minium security prison" could do a better job of representing the Republican party.

Eric, please continue your fine efforts on behalf of John Kerry. And if you don't know how to search google news yet, toss me an email and I'll gladly walk you through the steps. I wish I could say I had something to treat your allergy to facts - don't lose any sleep over it, your condition is one shared by many very (in)famous people.
