Washington, Dec 14: Hollywood superstar Will Smith has admitted to being smitten by his canine co-star in his new flick 'I am Legend'.

The 'Men in Black' star became so fond of the Alsatian dog that he begged her owner to let him take the pooch home.

"I always refused to become emotionally attached to animals and then I met this dog," Contactmusic quoted the star, as saying.

"I asked her owner if she could live with me, but she said she had to work," he added.

Smith had refused to get attached to family pets ever since his dog was died after being hit by a car when the actor was nine. (ANI)
