Turkish fighter jets launched more strikes Wednesday on areas in northern Iraq, according to local border guards.
Turkish aircraft bombed Kordan in the city of Duhuk over a two- kilometre area in the Kurdish Autonomous Region, border guard sources told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa.
The bombing was heavy in the area, which was deserted by its population months ago, according to the sources.
Turkey says its military offensive targets rebels from the Kurdistan's People Party (PKK), who are operating from Kurdish areas in northern Iraq.
