Kirkuk, Mar 25, (VOI) – An Iraqi force arrested 12 suspects, including one woman, in a security raid southwest of Kirkuk on Tuesday, the city's districts police chief said.
"The search raid, conducted in the al-Mantiqa al-Sinaaiya area, (15 km) southwest of Kirkuk, ended in capturing 12 suspects, including one woman who had two fake passports in her possession," Sarhad Qader told Aswat al-Iraq – Voices of Iraq – (VOI).
"An amount of weapons and ammunition and four suspicious vehicles were seized in the raid," said Qader, adding "there were no casualties among the raiding security force."
Kirkuk, a city of mixed ethnic and religious groups, lies 250 km northeast of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
